A model and actress, Chloe Sevigny is one of the few who accepts offerings of roles based on her interest in the script and not necessarily the income that she will get from signing onto the deal. She started out as a model gracing the covers of magazines such as Interview, and doing modeling for various brands and designers.

She starred in quite a number of independent films during the 1990s before she delved into mainstream with her first role as Lana in the film Boys Don't Cry in 1999. This earned her nominations for Best Supporting Actress in both the Oscar and Golden Globe Awards.

In the year 2006, Sevigny co-stars in Big Love, a new HBO television series. She also appears in Zodiac (early 2007), and in Catherine and Peter, which is scheduled for the year 2008.
