Charlotte Church was born in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom, and started singing publicly at the tender age of three. She gained recognition when she appeared on This Morning, a UK daytime magazine program and then did an impromptu appearance on The Big Big Talent Show. When the show's host asked her to sing, she immediately captivated the audience's attention, which catapulted her into instant stardom.

After that, she did more appearances on television and in concerts, some of which were at the London Palladium, Cardiff Arms Park in Wales, and the Royal Albert Hall. She signed a recording contract with Sony Music UK and released 3 best-selling albums showcasing popular classics. She later released a pop album and even began to work on her own TV show entitled The Charlotte Church Show.
